We are happy to welcome Xiaoyu Huang, who joins the team as a research assistant and PhD student.
Xiaoyu received her Master’s in Geodesy and Geoinformation from TUM in 2024. She wrote her master’s thesis on the Refinement of Facade Geometry for 3D Building Models using LiDAR Mobile Mapping Data and developed specific methods and metrics to achieve higher model precision. Previously, she was a student assistant at the Professorship of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, where she contributed to the tum2twin project by refining geospatial models from LoD2 to LoD3 using mobile and airborne lidar data.
Xiaoyu’s research will be part of the Extract4D and 4DWORKS projects, to which she will bring her expertise in 3D/4D data processing, laser scanning, and geoinformation. We are excited to welcome her on board and look forward to our joint research!
