Here we are, starting off the Remote Sensing Applications group's journey. As a newly formed team, we gathered for our first workshop in Raitenhaslach in April 2024. Together with the Big Geospatial Data Management group, we fostered new research ideas and strengthened our collaborative efforts.

The workshop featured a combination of presentations and interactive sessions. PhD students presented their ongoing research, providing insights into the diverse research areas within our groups. This was followed by a "research speed dating" session, where everyone engaged in discussions about new ideas and future endeavors.

Beyond the scientific program, we enjoyed a scenic walk to Marienberg Church.
