The purpose of the design challenges is to give students the opportunity to deep dive into the design of space systems and engage hands-on. The students will be led through the main trade-offs and the main physical phenomena that have to be considered in the design process.
The design challenges are related to scientific work done by the Chair, so students have the possibility of doing hands-on work and see it come to life!
The module consists of two main parts. Part 1 consists of lectures and design challenge, whilst Part 2 consists of the exercise accompanying the design challenge.
And of course there are prizes!!
At the Chair of Space Mobility and Propulsion we have two design challenges:
- Rocket Propulsion
- Spacecraft Propulsion
Check the lecture courses to find out when these take place and how to sign up!
