We are delighted to welcome Dr. Mathilde Letard as postdoctoral researcher in the TUM professorship of Remote Sensing Applications.
Previously, Mathilde was postdoc at Université de Rennes, where she developed deep neural networks for lidar data processing within the Topo-bathymetric Lidar Platform and in collaboration with ESA’s Φ-lab where she was a visiting researcher. During her PhD, she also worked on 3DMASC, a workflow for 3D point classification integrated to CloudCompare. She has extensive experience in knowledge extraction from lidar data (including full-waveform and (topo-)bathymetric sensors) and expertise in machine learning and deep neural networks for Earth Observation applications.
With respect to our research objectives in topographic monitoring and multi-source spatiotemporal analysis, Mathilde brings invaluable skills and new research directions to our team. We are excited to have her on board and look forward to our joint research.
Welcome, Mathilde!
