Welcome to the Chair of Spacecraft Systems!
Our Chair at a glance:
- We focus on cutting-edge research in satellite autonomy under constrained resources and advancing space sustainability by enabling more efficient use of in-space resources through federated satellite system approaches.
- We contribute to the advancement of research in satellite engineering, systems engineering (including applications outside of the space industry), and technology management.
- We are also interested in researching the New Space sector from technology, process, and business perspectives.
- Our teaching offer at TUM is primarily focused on project-based experiential courses, with an emphasis on cutting-edge research projects, peer instruction, and active student participation in addressing open questions in space systems engineering and technology management.
- We strongly support the nucleation of entrepreneurial ideas in space technology to be developed by PNS alumni and affiliates via startup companies within the TUM ecosystem and integrated within the activities of the European New Space Sector.
