As the Chair of Carbon Composites at the Technical University of Munich, we are proud to have been a part of the remarkable journey and achievement in WARR's hybrid propulsion rockets. The evolution began in the 1960s with the Barbarella rocket, and now the EX-3 sets its sights on surpassing the Altitude World Record for Cryogenic Amateur Rockets as it prepares for launch from the Mojave Desert in California this month.
The launch windows are quickly approaching, scheduled for Saturday, July 15th, and Sunday, July 16th. Each attempt day, the optimal launch timeframe will be approximately between 8 am and 1 pm local time, or 5 pm - 10 pm CEST. We invite you to follow this event through the live stream available at this link: www.youtube.com/@WARR_TUM/live (active two hours before the start of the launch window). We will persist in providing support to the student group WARR in the areas of dimensioning, characterization, design, and manufacturing of fiber-reinforced composite materials. Our overarching objective is to foster enthusiasm among the next generation by introducing them to high-performance components and illuminating the pathways to lightweight construction.
we look forward to continuing our shared pursuit of innovation and advancement in the field of rocketry.
