The LCC installed the first robot-based 3D printer with co-extrusion technology for the integration of fiber reinforcements. This enables the production of continuous fiber- reinforced composites, drastically increases the geometric design freedom, and enables completely tool-less manufacturing of carbon fiber-reinforced components.
The system is presented for the first time at Formnext 2019 exhibition at the Bayern Innovativ booth as part of the TUM Cluster for Additive Manufacturing. From 19 - 22 November 19, there are live demonstrations in Hall 11.1 Stand C61.
