On September 11, 2024, a project meeting for the IraSME project "Adapt-H2-Tanks" took place in Bursa, Turkey. The meeting was hosted by the project partner Floteks Plastik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., and all project partners – artners – Floteks Plastik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., Mefex GmbH, and the Chair of Carbon Composites – participated.
Various topics were discussed during the meeting, including the specifications of the tank and liner, as well as the challenges of manufacturing the liner using rotomolding. The technical aspects concerning composite design and manufacturing of the conformable tank were also discussed in detail.
In addition to the technical discussions, the participants toured Floteks' rotomoulding factory and gained an in-depth understanding of the production processes on-site.
The goal of the "Adapt-H2-Tanks" project is to develop innovative hydrogen storage solutions that are adapted to given installation spaces, making more efficient use of the available volume. These solutions aim to be lightweight and high-performing, contributing to sustainable mobility.
