Last Friday, the kick-off meeting for our new LuFo project Recompile took place at the Fraunhofer IGCV in Augsburg.
In this project, together with our partners IGCV and Kasaero GmbH, we will develop a method for the design of redundant structures for eVTols, aeroplanes and helicopters. The certification regulations require redundant structures, but these can hardly be realised with conventional aviation system architectures and construction methods without jeopardising the benefits of the aircraft due to increased weight and costs. We will develop new methods, system architectures and design principles using the example of two structural components and evaluate them using digital, model-driven design methodology. We want to make aviation safer and more environmentally friendly by automating the development process while taking certification requirements into account.
At TUM-LCC, we will develop a new automated analysis method that can mesh, calculate and analyse different geometry variants. We look forward to working together in the consortium and to exciting results over the next three years.
