The Chair of Carbon Composites (LCC) had the opportunity to join TUM.Additive at the Formnext booth of Bayern Innovativ to display current research topics in fiber-reinforced additive manufacturing (AM). The LCC showed 3D-printed parts with continuous fiber reinforcements for low thermal expansion tooling or structural applications. LEAM, a spin-out company of the chair focused on process monitoring and layer adhesion enhancement for large-scale 3D printing, also participated in the exhibition. Networking and discussions with our research partners completed the visit of our AM team.
