The 3D Forum Lindau takes place annually in May on the bavarian island Lindau on the eastern side of Lake Constance. This year, the event attracted more than 250 participants from numerous German federal states, cities, and industrial firms. A program full of excellent presentations and engaging discussions was prepared for both days on May 14 and 15.
The Chair of Geoinformatics was also present in this year's 3D Forum Lindau and contributed with a one-hour workshop on "CityGML 3.0 - in Graph Databases and Use Case Transportation Model" with the following topics:
- What's new in CityGML 3.0?
- CityGML in graph databases
- Use case examples using graph representations of CityGML datasets:
- Identification and interpretation of changes in semantic 3D city models [GitHub]
- Multimodal navigation based on the new street space models in CityGML 3.0
The workshop was presented by our researchers Son H. Nguyen and Felix Olbrich. They also represented the Round Table GIS e.V. during the event.
