The Munich GI Round 2019, which was jointly organized by the organization Runder Tisch GIS e.V. and the Chair of Geoinformatics at TUM on 14 and 15 March, was successful.
Five forums with invited talks from science, three sessions with practical contributions as well as the innovation forum of Runder Tisch GIS e.V., for which companies could apply with creative, novel applications and solutions around the use of geoinformation, were available for the nearly 200 participants. Current work and projects from the fields of road space modelling and monitoring, simulation and GIS, spatial data infrastructures, geo-visualisation, BIM / GIS / Smart Cities, point clouds as well as mobility and GIS were presented.
Our PhD student Benedikt Schwab also contributed to the success of the event with his presentation on "Requirements for road space models in the context of automated driving".
