Plant a Seed - Vertical Farming

Student-led project Plant a Seed builds -yet another!- Sustainable Living Lab at TUM. Plant a Seed aims to raise awareness and skills on urban gardening, while making TUM greener and more sustainable. After building the first Sustainable Living Lab at the main campus in Munich back in 2021, they have also transformed the Campus at Weihenstephan, Freising with more raised beds t grow crops. Plant a Seed has been successful to bring more than 100 students together as an interdisciplinary educational project working for sustainability. TUM's Chair of Land Management and the Nexus@TUM Lab are proud supporters of Plant a Seed and we are proud to introduce the new Sustainable Living Lab for vertical farming at TUM Zentrum für Energie u. Information (ZEI) in Garching.
