In the Tagesschau documentary Felicitas Sommer explains about a TUM/LMU survey among 10,000 people who rent a house - as part of the project Green-DIA. One of the crucial findings is that most of the people for whom the rental threshold is valid do not know about this threshold, and only 2,4% of this group request
the houseowner to stick to the rental threshold. The overall conclusion is that in most cases the threshold is not properly functioning.
